What are the different types of e-commerce licences in the mainland?

You should familiarize yourself with the alternatives provided by various mainland authorities if you are obtaining a mainland e-commerce license.
  1. Dubai

The eTrader license, which is granted by the Dubai Department of Economic Development (DED), enables business owners to use social media platforms for their operations. However, only UAE and GCC nationalities residing in Dubai are currently eligible for the eTrader license.

Furthermore, you are not permitted to open a physical store or apply for a visa, and only one owner may be registered.

Getting a general trade license in mainland Dubai is an additional choice that enables you to carry out business online. This premium trading license is available for as little as AED 30,000.

  2. Abu Dhabi

For UAE citizens and residents, as well as GCC nationals, the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED) grants Tajer Abu Dhabi, its version of an internet trading license.

It enables license holders to get a new license to conduct business online (via websites or social media channels) or to add their online business operations to their current trade licenses.

Three different types of legal structures are supported by this e-commerce license:

Establishment for GCC and Emirati citizens
Limited Liability business for UAE citizens with Emirati partners; single shareholder business for Emir

  3. Sharjah

The Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD) grants Eitimad licenses to online and web-based companies that use social media platforms. Residents of Sharjah who are UAE nationals are eligible for the license. Additionally, they must be at least eighteen.partners
